Tata Motors Launches Safari GX Variant

Tata Motors has expanded its Safari DICOR 2.2 range with the addition of a new Gx variant. The current Safari DICOR range comprises three variants: Lx, Ex and Vx. The Gx, with several high-end comfort and safety features, has been positioned below Vx, the top end variant. The new variant offers enhanced value to the Safari customer at an attractive price point below the top end variant.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. launched one of its first products of 2009, the XCD 135 DTS-Si, in January end and the deliveries began in February 2009. The bike has been welcomed by consumers and within the first fifteen days, Bajaj Auto sold more than 10,000 units of the new XCD 135 DTS-Si.





Honda Motorcycles India has unveiled their super bikes the CBR1000RR and CB1000R. Honda will sell the CBR 1000RR and CB1000R through exclusive stores in four metros - Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Calcutta in the first phase. Later it will be expanded to other main cities as well depending on the demand. The Honda CBR1000RR is priced at Rs. 12.5 lacs, whereas the CB1000R is priced at Rs. 9.5 lacs (Prices ex-showroom, Delhi).








BMW India Launches X6


BMW India has launched its new X6 crossover at its new showroom in Mumbai. The car will be available in two variants and is imported. The 5.0 litre petrol will be sold at a price of Rs 82,90,000 and the 3.0 litre diesel will sell at Rs 65,90,000




Honda Siel Cars India has said it will increase the prices of its sports utility vehicle CR-V by about 30% in May, 2009, besides gradually hiking the rates of other models.



BMW has overtaken rival luxury car brand Mercedes Benz in India to the No. 1 slot - a position the latter held unchallenged for a decade. BMW India sold 270 cars in January 2009, while Mercedes sold 170.
